We hired a local Broker to inspect the lot and take some pictures. If you are considering a property like this to build on and retire, here’s what she said: “Lakemont Shores is a very desirable place for retirees. It is just 1 hour from Tulsa. Lakemont Shores has a well kept clubhouse, new restaurant and golf course. A very nice property, it has a slope to it, but is build able and there is water and electric at the lot. It is on a paved road.”

A local contractor says building costs there generally run around $75 per square foot. With not that much money for a nice new house you can build exactly the way you want to (a 1300 square footer would be under $100,000!) you can kick back and enjoy life at a fraction of what it would cost to do the same thing in or near a large city.
